This year, Generation180 wrapped up two incredible national tours with Tyler Childers and the Dave Matthews Band, bringing the message of clean energy and electric vehicles (EVs) to thousands of fans across the country. In partnership with REVERB, we promoted EV awareness and encouraged concertgoers to sign the National Going Electric Pledge, all while having a little fun along the way.
Gen180 and our EV ambassadors were on-site with lively booths in REVERB’s Eco Village, including custom pins and buttons, EV photo frames, and interactive ways to learn about the benefits of driving electric.
“REVERB is honored to partner with Generation180 to encourage music fans to go electric! REVERB’s goal is to unite people around music while tackling environmental and social issues; we were thrilled to bring Tyler Childers and Dave Matthews Band fans the opportunity to take action with Gen180 before watching one of their favorite performers!”

- Dave Matthews Band show 7/25- Camden, NJ
During our third year in partnership with Reverb and the Dave Matthews Band, we supported 32 shows in 22 cities. The Dave Matthews Band tour was a massive success. With the support of 44 incredible Generation180 volunteers, we connected with hundreds of fans who were eager to learn more about EVs.
Our volunteers engaged concertgoers before each show, sharing EV facts, personal stories, and encouraging everyone to sign the Going Electric Pledge. Every person who pledged was entered into a drawing to win a guitar signed by Dave Matthews himself. By the end of the tour, hundreds of pledges had been collected from DMB fans, proof that Dave’s community is ready to hit the road electric.
Richmond, VA, volunteers, Grover and his wife Lauren, said they had many meaningful conversations with fans throughout the evening. “Folks of all ages stopped by,” he shared, “but most of those who took the pledge were under 40,” Grover noted that while many attendees were new to the topic, they were genuinely open to the idea of driving electric once they learned more.
One of his favorite moments came when an older couple stopped by to share that they had been EV owners for over a decade, a reminder of how far the movement has come. And on a personal note, the night held a special memory for Grover and Lauren: as long-time fans, hearing Dave Matthews Band play Crush, their wedding song, made volunteering that much more unforgettable.

- Tyler Childers Show 9/22 in Charlottesville, VA
This was Generation180’s first tour with Tyler Childers, and it didn’t disappoint. The team hit 17 shows in 15 cities, with the help of 29 amazing volunteers.
Fans were encouraged to sign the National Going Electric Pledge for a chance to win a guitar signed by Tyler Childers, and many did! We gathered hundreds of pledges in total, spreading EV awareness to a whole new audience.
Volunteer Len, who joined the team at the Phoenix, AZ show, described the atmosphere as “upbeat, especially when people learned they could enter the guitar raffle for free.” He noted that while younger fans were drawn to the giveaways, older concertgoers were more likely to stop and talk about EVs.
One thing’s for sure: Mothman definitely drives an EV.
Thanks to the dedication of our EV ambassadors, we were able to reach communities nationwide and share the benefits of going electric. Whether it was through heartfelt conversations, fun photo ops, or a chance to win a signed guitar, these tours helped bring the clean energy message to life, one concert at a time.
