Electrify Your Life

Power your life with clean energy.

The Opportunity

Millions of people are powering their lives with clean, renewable energy. Benefits in the landmark clean energy law include up to $14,000 for home clean energy efficiency upgrades.

It is becoming easier than ever before to enjoy the benefits of clean energy in your home and community.

Thanks to new benefits in the landmark clean energy law, the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), more Americans can go solar, electrify their homes and vehicles, and save on energy costs.

Check out ways you can electrify your home and community–with help from new clean energy benefits.

Heat Pump

A heat pump is an electric appliance that can replace both your traditional air conditioner and home heating system (like a furnace or boiler). Heat pumps are 3-5 times more energy efficient than traditional heating systems and work in all climates!  Heat pumps do not run on gas and use energy efficiently, saving money on heating and cooling. Learn more about heat pumps.

You Save: Up to $2,000, for a heating pump installation.

Induction Stove

Exposure to indoor gas fumes over time can have the same effect on your health as second hand cigarette smoke. Switching your gas stove to electric or induction cuts out harmful vapors and is better for the climate. Learn more about electric stoves.

You Save: Up to $840 to replace your existing gas stove with electricNote: If you don’t have a gas stove to replace you don’t qualify. This rebate only covers replacement of non-electric appliances (replacing gas stoves with electric induction stoves).

Electrify Your Car, Truck, or SUV

Switching from a gas vehicle to an electric vehicle lowers your carbon emissions by 60% according to the Department of Energy’s Alternative Fuel Data Center. Funds in the new clean energy law can help you pay for an electric car and chargers. Learn more about electric vehicles or if you’re ready, sign the “Going Electric Pledge“.

You Save:  Receive a used EV tax credit of 30% up to $4,000. For a new EV, tax credits are available up to $7,500 if the vehicle and battery meet certain requirements.

Solar Panels

Today, installing a solar roof on your home can be a seamless process taking less than 48 hours from start to finish. If you’re a renter, you may be able to participate in a Community Solar program. Learn more about solar.

You Save: Get a 30% tax credit for an electrical panel upgrade if it’s upgraded in conjunction with rooftop solar. In 2022, an average 6kW rooftop solar installation cost $15,300, making the average tax credit roughly $4,600.

Electric Heat Pump Water Heater

A heat pump water heater uses electricity to pull heat from the surrounding air and transfer it into a hot water tank. Heat pump water heaters produce hot water instead of hot air, are 2-3 times more efficient than traditional systems, work in all climates, and can help save on energy costs. Learn more about electric water heaters.

You Save: Up to $2,000.

Electric Heat Pump Dryer

Heat pump clothes dryers use heat pump technology to transfer hot air from outside the dryer to inside. Rather than releasing humid air through a dryer vent outside your home like a conventional dryer, a heat pump dryer sends it through an evaporator to remove moisture. Learn more about heat pump dryers

You Save: $840 with clean energy law rebates. Note: The rebate only covers replacement of non-electric appliances (no electric clothes dryers).
