State Rep. Elizabeth Fiedler—who championed the creation of the Solar for Schools program—will share insights on the program’s early successes and what’s ahead. Representatives from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) will walk through grant details, eligibility, and application considerations. Generation180, a national nonprofit that provides free technical assistance to schools, will also highlight available federal incentives and explain how solar and energy-efficiency investments can help stabilize energy costs and protect districts from rising electricity rates.
