As Generation180’s Education Advisor, Micki Dutrow draws on her deep education leadership experience to engage and support schools that are exploring the switch to clean energy. Micki Dutrow is a public education leader with 35 years of service in K-12 administration, operations, and management. Most recently, she served as Superintendent of West Branch Area School District, a rural school district in central Pennsylvania. During her tenure there, she helped secure $1M in state grants for a boiler that uses biomass instead of heating oil and now provides 90% of the district’s heating needs with a renewable resource. She oversaw a number of Guaranteed Energy Savings Agreement (GESA) projects that improved the energy efficiency of school buildings. She earned a B.S. in Special Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a M.S. in Educational Leadership and Administration from Penn State University.
