Rachel co-leads Rocky Mountain Institute’s (RMI) Carbon-Free Buildings policy work. She oversees RMI’s work in roughly 15 priority states across the nation and at the federal level. Rachel is passionate about advancing precedent-setting policy solutions that eliminate building-sector emissions and improve the quality of life for those most burdened by the climate crisis.

Before joining RMI, Rachel spent 15 years advancing clean energy and climate policies through her work in philanthropy, advocacy, and the state government. Rachel launched Sierra Club’s building electrification campaign in California in 2016 and collaboratively made it a national campaign covering over 12 states. She lives in Oakland, California, and can be found biking in the redwood forests with her family.
