Harvard Graduate School of Education Event
WED, MAY 10, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm in CAMBRIDGE, MA
Building Our Resilient Future: Education Driving Hope, Innovation, and Action
Join us in-person on May 10th for the Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE) event “Building Our Resilient Future: Education Driving Hope, Innovation, and Action”, a part of the Harvard Climate Action Week. This in-person event is open to the public.
Join for an action-oriented agenda for the education sector — with innovation and engagement as drivers for climate resilience. In a morning panel conversation in Askwith Hall, HGSE will show how schools, leaders, and communities are making an impact in mitigating climate change, creating collaborative learning opportunities, and advancing equity in community approaches. Featured speakers include Superintendent Michael Hester, a member of Generation180’s School Leadership in Clean Energy Network.
Then, in an informal and energetic afternoon session called the Solutions Showcase from 12:30pm-2:00pm, HGSE will gather in Gutman Library to explore ways to accelerate progress and to act with hope and urgency. Guests will have a chance to connect with Generation180 in the Solutions Showcase, alongside other education organizations, nonprofits, and students who are doing the work. Tish Tablan, Generation180’s Solar for All Schools Director, will be an interactive presenter on the topic of Adaptation and Mitigation.
