Claire is a political strategist and organizer who has developed and scaled innovative campaign and organizing tactics that have become widely adopted across the political and advocacy landscape. As National Organizing Director for Bernie Sanders’ 2020 presidential campaign, she led a 700-person multi-disciplinary team and created the innovative Victory Captain model that empowered 3,000 volunteer leaders nationwide. Her programs have mobilized hundreds of thousands of volunteers, resulting in over 225,000 events and tens of millions of voter contacts. She has advised numerous progressive organizations in the U.S. and internationally, including The Working Families Party, MoveOn.org, Be A Hero, and 350.org. She began her career in the environmental movement, where she helped launch the successful campaign to ban fracking in New York.
