Julie plays a leading role in guiding Generation180’s strategy, systems, and fundraising. Julie has over 25 years of experience as a leader in innovative nonprofit and philanthropic organizations. Prior to joining Generation180 Julie was the Executive Director of Advancing Green Chemistry and Director for the American Chemical Society’s Green Chemistry Centers of Excellence Project. She also worked as a Program Officer for several philanthropic foundations including the W. Alton Jones Foundation and the Virginia Health Care Foundation. A life-long Virginian and graduate of the University of Virginia, Julie is passionate about her local community; currently she serves as an Associate Director with the Thomas Jefferson Soil and Water Conservation District, Board Chair of Environmental Health Sciences and previously served as Board Chair for the Charlottesville Redevelopment and Housing Authority.
