Kay has more than 20 years’ experience using communications to drive social change, with deep expertise in strategy, media, and creative communications. Kay leads Gen180’s 6-person communications team, providing direction and support on messaging, design, media, digital, partnerships, and thought leadership across Gen180’s programs. Kay also oversees Gen180’s storytelling and cultural strategy work, including our award-winning programs with creatives and comedians. In her career, Kay has worked on a range of issues – from clean energy and sustainability to public health, social policy, and health equity – in the nonprofit, corporate, and federal government sectors. Before joining Gen180, Kay held senior positions at ICF, Burness Communications, and Ogilvy Public Relations, where she designed high-impact campaigns and built teams of smart people that love to have fun while they’re doing meaningful work. She loves puns, her dog Fern, and biking with her 12-year-old twins. Kay is based in the Washington, DC area and drives a Chevy Bolt.
