Shannon brings decades of sustainability and clean energy advocacy to Generation180. As the Pennsylvania Director, Shannon encourages schools across the state to play a role in the clean energy transition, especially in disadvantaged and environmental justice communities. After serving in the U.S. Air Force and learning about the harmful effects of jet fuel on human and environmental health, Shannon decided to commit her career to transforming how we work and interact with the built environment. Shannon has worked on LEED green building certifications, brownfield remediation, and energy finance. Before Generation180, Shannon oversaw funding for energy efficiency and renewable energy finance throughout Pennsylvania at Sustainable Energy Fund, where she also partnered with counties to enable Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy (C-PACE). She received a B.S. in Environmental Geography from Kutztown University and an MBA in Sustainability Management from Penn State University.
