Protect Clean Energy Policy in Virginia

The state of Virginia is leading on clean energy and energy independence. Here’s what we mean: 

• The Virginia Clean Economy Act is ramping up clean energy production and helping customers save on electric bills–while also creating family-supporting jobs and tax revenues. 
• The Clean Car Standards law is making sure Virginians get more choices and have “clean cars” (cars with low or zero tailpipe emissions) available to buy in Virginia.  These vehicles reduce air pollution, are better for public health, and save consumers money in no fuel costs and lower maintenance costs. 

73% of Virginians think it is important for the Commonwealth to reduce its dependence on fossil fuels and transition to clean energy.
