Mr. Kang is a US Marine veteran with an MBA and 27 years of experience in both the private and public sectors, over 16 years of which have been in transportation (Schneider, Starbucks and Cardinal Health). Since joining Los Angeles Unified in 2021, he’s led the effort to 100% electrify a fleet of 3,500 vehicles. In July 2022, under Mr. Kang’s leadership, Los Angeles Unified received the Green Fleet Awards during the Green Bus Summit for demonstrating emissions reductions and positive impacts on their students and communities with the implementation of clean fuel and energy.
