Dawn Ashbacher is the Acting Sustainability and Compliance Senior Manager in the Facilities Services Division of Frederick County Public Schools. She manages sustainability efforts such as developing energy efficiency and renewable energy programs, managing energy data, procuring energy, and supporting composting and school gardens. In addition, she works with the environmental literacy curriculum team to empower students to practice environmental sustainability. Dawn is also an experienced school teacher and administrator. Previously, she served as the first ever Climate and Energy Manager with Frederick County Government and helped to develop the Climate and Energy Action Plan for internal operations and the Alternative Fuel Vehicle Fleet Transition Plan.
