Ryan Hersey is a Project Manager with Virginia Beach City Public Schools. By partnering with ESCOs and local A/E firms, he’s renovating HVAC systems, upgrading control systems, and implementing LED retrofits to help lower the district’s energy consumption and cost. Ryan also supports multiple energy saving initiatives and learning environment enhancements such as VBCPS’ first solar PPA, the expansion of EV charging, scratch cooking, and securing nearly $24 million in federal grant funding for HVAC improvements across the district.
