STORYTELLING
Amplifiers: Atlanta

Amplifiers: Atlanta is a paid program that taps into local enthusiasm to bring people together, share clean energy solutions, and inspire action today.

What is Amplifiers: Atlanta?
Amplifiers: Atlanta is a paid weekend workshop designed to inspire and equip local leaders who are based in the Atlanta region. Co-created and co-directed by national nonprofits Generation180 and Rewiring America, the program trains participants about the benefits of clean energy and electrification. It fosters community and empowers community leaders and content creators to spread the word and activate their networks!
Why is this important?
Unfortunately, not enough Georgians know about the benefits that clean energy brings to homes and communities. Switching to solar, electric cars, heat pumps, and other electric appliances saves money on energy costs, creates jobs, cuts climate-harming pollution, and improves health in communities.
Studies show that when individuals discuss these climate solutions with people they know, their neighbors and friends are more likely to pay attention and take action. This makes sense. Your friends and neighbors trust you! Tell them about important things like renewable energy and how heat pumps are two-in-one appliances that heat and cool.

Who we're working with:

Community Builders
Community Builders are passionate about climate solutions and clean energy and have started taking action in their homes, local communities, or both. They’re part of a network and live in Georgia.

Content Creators
Content Creators are Georgia-based content creators, influencers, comedians, filmmakers, or artists who create videos and are passionate about using their skills to take climate action.

Meet the Co-Creators

Rewiring America is the leading electrification* nonprofit focused on electrifying our homes, communities, and businesses.
We develop accessible data and tools and build coalitions and partnerships to make going electric easier for households and communities. Rewiring America helps Americans save money, tackle nationwide emissions goals, improve health, and build the next generation of the clean energy workforce. *Electrification or “going electric” means replacing appliances that use fossil fuels (coal, oil, and gas) with ones that use electricity. We work to help households make these five or six big clean electric switches to realize a healthier, safer world together.

Generation180 is a national nonprofit working to inspire and equip people to take action on clean energy in their homes and communities.
We lead national education campaigns to electrify homes, buildings, and transportation – the biggest sources of carbon emissions. By partnering with artists and storytellers, we work to change the climate narrative from gloom and doom to “We Got This!” and give people meaningful ways to take action toward a cleaner, healthier, and more equitable energy future.
